MediaSplash is an online content distributor system. It has two main part: a management and an player tool. Management is available from all endpoints of internet via simple web browser, it requires no professional knowledge. A management tool can handle unlimited player clients placed everywhere on the world. You can put these clients intp more groups too. Player client boxes can be plugged to a visualization device (television or projector), they supports interactive contents (for example we can use touch films), and they can play high density (Full HD) contents with small energy consumption (Energy Star 5.0 Level). Player boxes could manage (switch on/off, monitoring) visualization devices (requires external management support) - so you can set working hours of these devices (for longer lifetime).
Management tool could be accessed from all places around the world vith a simple web browser. It is based on content management framework of DOKK system. On web site provided by this tool are the main management functions: upload new contents or edit old ones, creat playlists, put clients into logical groups and associate playlists and client groups. There could be find play statistics and system informations (errors or warnings).

Upload of large files are implemented on Ajax technologies, so upload process state is realtime trackable. Through uploading there are informations about process: uploaded percents, estimated time to finish and transfer speed. Here can be set content property 'play count' (it means how many time a content will be played on a client). After this number was reached content is removed from client's playlist.
In the management tool there are features to view uploaded contents. On pointer moved over video the user can view a small slideshow from video shots. On click on a video you can watch this video in a built-in video player. Other content types has same content preview tools.
Assembly of a playlist is very easy with our drag-and-drop list editor. The contents in the right column could be dragged into the group placed on left side. While user drags a content, on left side there is a small coloured box, where the content could be dropped.
Playlist could be applied immediately, at next content play or out of working hours. The sort of contents could be fixed or parameter-based automatic. If one choose parameter-based list creation, then odds of playing frequency for a content could be set. Using fixed list order list playing starts again after last content.
Here can be set up device properties. All player client could be placed in groups and playlists are associated to these groups. If a client is in more groups, then user can select a playlist associated to one of these groups or the client could play an own, unique playlist too.
Detailed play statistics
There are found detailed statistics about played contents of clients. Statistics could be filtered by content, player clients, client groups in an arbitrary time interval.
There is support for chart view or export into Microsoft Excel too.
In management there are monitoring tools for managed players. If a player device is not accessable for a long time, a message will be shown and an email will be sent to the operators.
The player device and the management tool communicate on a simple internet link. It can play videos up to Full HD quality with high bitrates with its modern GPU. There is a gigabit LAN card in, to provide fast downloads for large files. If there is no wire internet then wifi or GPRS/HSDPA support is available too.
The most interactive devices has touch screens. At Cisco Expo 2008 we demo an interactive stock exchange application, where users can view and compare share rate on touch screen.
In summer 2008 we implemented a pilot project for a commercial bank, where devices are placed in customer space of local offices. These screens show call numbers, share and currency prices and video adverts. Management tool was a development by our company and player devices are Cisco DMP.
